New PhoneHatch Website

At Burne & Royce Digital, we believe that great design isn’t just about looking good—it’s about making life easier for the user. Our latest collaboration with PhoneHatch.co.uk is a masterclass in combining high-end aesthetics with a high-performance customer journey.

PhoneHatch is an independent mobile phone recycler serving the Northwest UK, and they needed a digital presence that reflected their commitment to speed, sustainability, and top-tier customer service.

🛠️ The Tech We Developed

We didn't just build a website; we built a valuation powerhouse.

  • Smart Search Integration: Users can find their exact device in seconds, not minutes.

  • Bespoke Pricing Engine: We developed a streamlined flow that delivers instant, honest quotes based on device condition.

  • Local Logistics Management: A custom booking system for Northwest collections, making the "Sell Your Phone" process entirely hands-free for the user.

✨ The UX & Customer Experience

The "Panic UX" of selling a phone (worrying about data, price, and trust) was our biggest challenge. We solved it by:

  • The "Thumb-Zone" Layout: Designed specifically for mobile-first users, making every button easy to reach with one hand.

  • Instant Trust Mechanics: We placed key trust signals and same-day payment promises "above the fold" to reduce user friction instantly.

  • Minimalist Interface: By removing the "Wix bloat" and focusing on a clean, single-column flow, we ensured the site feels lightning-fast even on patchy 4G networks.

"Our goal was to create a 'two-minute journey' from landing on the homepage to booking a collection. We achieved that by stripping away the noise and focusing on the user's primary goal: cash for their tech." — Burne & Royce Design Team
